Nani House is an ongoing conservation and curation attempt that reimagines conservation as a slow and collective effort to generate new values for an abandoned building amongst the people of the city. Through workshops and platforms of public engagement, our effort aims to bring people together to actively and consciously discuss their needs from the built environment. We believe this dialogue is essential for the holistic development of cities, as each person/entity contributes to its construction and maintenance in different capacities.

Our first series of workshops was conducted in May 2022, it brought people together through heritage walks, sketching trips, and hands-on printmaking with material found in the house and its vicinity.

In June 2024, we conducted a residential photogrammetry and documentation workshop with architects, designers, and artists that culminated in an open exhibition that invited people living in the neighbourhood, people who once lived there, and other heritage officials and enthusiasts.
